Yarrinyarri (bush onion)

Yarrinyarri (bush onion)

Mrs C. Djiagween was an esteemed Jabirr Jabirr and Yawuru elder. The yarrinyarri (bush onion) is best collected during Wirralburu Season (around May -June). It is a small, delicious plant that is dug up from the ground and eaten as is or cooked up in hot ash.
With Mrs Djiagween's family's permission, we continue to celebrate her life through her art.

These are limited edition garments with only 50 of each design made.
