Nagula Jarndu

Noongar Boodjar (Noongar Country)

Noongar Boodjar (Noongar Country)

Dena was born on Balladong and Wadjuk Country and grew up on Wilman Country in Narrogin where she spent time learning from her elders and visually recording this knowledge in her art, teaching herself how to paint with acrylics on canvas. Dena’s style is very loose and joyous and her work speaks to her happy disposition and the generous spirit she brings to the Nagula Jarndu art centre each day. She tells stories about important aspects of her time growing up on in Narrogin. She is particulalry drawn to the animals and plants from her country and the spiritual connections between all living forms.

These are limited edition garments with only 20 of each design made.

*Please note that the pattern placement will vary slightly on each garment.

Nagula Jarndu (Saltwater Woman) is a not-for-profit, 100% Aboriginal owned and governed organisation and the profits from your purchase will go directly to the artist and back into the organisation to fund future projects.
